The town of St Austell is, by population, the largest in Cornwall. It has just had a new multi million pound town centre built, it was the centre of the china clay industry and it is the closest town to the internationally renowned Eden Project. As a town however, it feels as though it's waiting......

The town feels like a transitory space, somewhere that you move through out of necessity rather than choice. Shops set up here before they can afford to move to Truro... Travellers stop here to get a bus to the coast...
